Job summary

C.T. Male Associates, a multi-discipline surveying, engineering and architectural firm in the Northeast, is seeking a detail-oriented Survey Technician to join our Latham, NY office.

In this role, you’ll work on a wide variety of projects, using industry-leading technology and collaborating with experienced professionals on projects that help shape our communities. Pay range is $26.00–$40.00 per hour, with weekly pay, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• A.A.S. or equivalent in surveying technology or certificate with 3+ years of related experience.
• Thorough understanding of surveying terminology.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Ability to analyze and interpret survey records, plans and maps.
• Valid driver’s license.
• OSHA 10-Hour Training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare boundary, topographic, utility and other survey maps and exhibits.
• Perform contour plotting and data analysis.
• Assist with preliminary boundary determinations under PM guidance.
• Prepare field crew worksheets and project support materials.
• Conduct deed research with municipalities, agencies and utility companies.
• Interpret deeds, maps and easements with proper notations.
• Support field survey operations as needed before field assignments.
• Download and process GPS and field data using Trimble Business Center and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
