Job Title: Survey Technician II

Bolton & Menk has an exciting opportunity for a Survey Technician II to join our Land Surveying team in our Youngsville/Raleigh office. With over 75 years of experience, Bolton & Menk specializes in providing community infrastructure solutions across the Midwest, Southeast, and beyond.

What You Will Be Doing:

1. Assist in the production of survey drawings.
2. Perform basic survey computations.
3. Use CAD and other survey/engineering software for basic survey drawing preparation.
4. Assist with survey field operations as needed, including construction staking, shoveling, lifting, and carrying 25-50 lbs.
5. Operate survey instruments (robotic total stations, GPS equipment, data collectors) to collect and process field measurements and data for engineering and surveying projects.

What We Are Looking For:

1. High school diploma or Associate's degree in Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent experience or coursework.
2. Three years of related survey experience.
3. Good interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
4. Good time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
5. Advanced math skills.
6. Good attention to detail.
7. Ability to learn survey and engineering concepts.
8. Working knowledge of Trimble equipment and software (Trimble Access & Trimble Business Center).
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
10. Knowledge of CAD and survey software (AutoCAD Civil3D, MicroStation).
11. Valid driver's license, as travel to various facilities and sites may be required.
