Atlas is seeking a Survey Technician - CADD Tech to support survey and mapping work crucial to project success. This full-time position based in Tacoma, Washington requires a collaborative team member skilled in AutoCAD/Civil 3D, capable of delivering high-quality mapping deliverables and supporting project needs with technical precision.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of relevant experience and a strong grasp of surveying principles. With a focus on community, Atlas provides competitive hourly compensation and a supportive work environment.
As a Survey Technician - CADD Tech, you will help deliver accurate survey and mapping work that supports field operations and keeps infrastructure projects moving safely and efficiently. In this role, you’ll partner with field crews, project managers, and project surveyors to prepare mapping deliverables, perform calculations, review plans, and support quality work from office to field. This is a full-time, non-exempt position based in Redmond, Washington.

At least 3 years of experience using AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
A solid understanding of surveying principles, control networks, and engineering plan reading.
Strong math, critical thinking, and written/verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with everyday business tools, including Word and Excel.
A valid driver’s license and the ability to meet hiring requirements, including background screening and drug testing.
Bonus points for experience with MicroStation (InRoads/OpenRoads), StarNet, Leica office software, laser scanning/point clouds, LiDAR, or field survey equipment such as total stations, GPS, and levels. LSIT or EIT certification is also a plus.
The ability to travel up to 25% as project needs require.

The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the state’s law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
