Job summary

Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc is seeking an experienced Survey Technician to join their team in Springdale, Arkansas. The successful candidate will conduct field surveys, assist with drafting, and collaborate with survey teams and managers. This position requires a degree in surveying or civil engineering and proficiency in CAD software.

The ideal candidate will have 1+ years of experience in surveying and strong attention to detail. Significant travel to job sites in Claremore and Muskogee, Oklahoma will be required, with occasional projects throughout NWA.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in surveying or related field.
• Heavy civil construction experience is a plus, but not required.
• LSIT certification preferred.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Survey Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting field surveys, assisting with drafting, and working with survey team and managers. This position will be based out of our Northwest Arkansas (NWA) office but will spend a significant amount of time supporting projects at job sites in Claremore and Muskogee, Oklahoma, with occasional work on projects throughout NWA.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field surveys using various surveying equipment, including total stations, levels, and GPS
• Assist with drafting and data management using CAD software
• Maintain and calibrate surveying equipment
• Assist with recordkeeping and documentation
• Work collaboratively with surveying staff and project managers
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in surveying, civil engineering, or related field; LSIT certification preferred
• 1+ years of experience in surveying or related field
• Heavy civil construction experience is a plus, but not required
• Proficiency in CAD software, including AutoCAD and Civil 3D
• Knowledge of surveying equipment and software, including GPS and robotic total stations
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
