Job summary

Pinnacle Engineering Group is seeking a motivated Survey Technician to support field and office surveying activities. You will assist licensed surveyors by collecting field data, operating surveying equipment, and helping with survey calculations and documentation.

This role may involve both field and office work depending on experience and project needs, with opportunities for professional growth within a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• CST certification preferred.
• AutoCAD Civil 3D experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize survey field equipment (GPS, total station, electronic level, data collectors).
• Learn surveying field practice and procedures from senior survey staff.
• Assist survey crews with field data collection for boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, record drawing surveys and construction staking services.
• Basic ability to read and interpret survey maps, plats and drawings.
• Record field notes, sketches, and electronic data clearly and accurately.
• Locate and mark property corners, benchmarks, and control points.
• Perform basic survey calculations and data processing under supervision.
• Assist with downloading, organizing, and reviewing field data.
