Job summary

Jones Associates, Inc., a forestry, environmental consulting and surveying company in Auburn, Maine, seeks a Survey Technician with a degree in surveying and 1–3 years of experience. You will collect data with survey instruments, conduct field reconnaissance, mark boundaries, and perform construction stakeouts, deed research, and CAD/maths calculations.

Autocad/Carlson experience is desirable. You must work outdoors in all weather and communicate clearly.

Jones Associates, Inc., a well-established forestry, environmental consulting and survey company located in Auburn Maine, is seeking applications for a Survey Technician position.Candidates must have a degree in surveying with 1-3 years experience.

Survey technician responsibilities include collecting data using survey instruments, field reconnaissance, marking property boundaries, construction stakeout, deed research, and computer-aided drafting and math computations. The successful candidate should have considerable knowledge of principles and practices of surveying,and survey equipment.Individuals with experience in CADD and GIS is desirable. The applicant should have experience with Autocad and/or Carlson software.

The successful applicant must have the ability to work unsupervised, understand and follow written and oral instructions; the ability to clearly communicate information both verbally and in writing is essential.

Individuals must have a clean driving record, be willing to work outside in all types of weather and be able to work independently.Benefits package includes paid time off and retirement.Salary will be commensurate with experience.
