As a Senior CAD Technician on Olsson's Survey team, you will play a key role in the development of survey deliverables for a variety of public and private sector projects. You will leverage your expertise in Civil 3D and survey drafting to prepare accurate, high-quality drawings and documentation that support boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS Land Title, and construction surveying services. Working closely with surveyors, engineers, and project managers, you will help ensure deliverables meet client expectations, project requirements, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare survey deliverables including ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, plats, legal descriptions, exhibits, boundary surveys, and topographic surveys.
  • Collaborate with surveyors, engineers, and project managers to ensure deliverables are accurate, complete, and aligned with project requirements.
  • Perform quality control reviews and ensure all survey documents comply with company standards, client requirements, and applicable regulations.
  • Support the continued growth and efficiency of the survey team by providing technical expertise, improving drafting workflows, and mentoring less experienced CAD staff.
Qualifications

You are passionate about:

  • Working collaboratively with others.

  • Using your talents to positively affect communities.

You bring to the team:

  • Strong understanding of land surveying principles, practices, terminology, and survey documentation requirements.
  • Ability to develop and review complex CAD drawings with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience collaborating with surveyors, engineers, and project managers throughout all phases of a project.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet project deadlines.
  • Associate's degree in CAD Drafting or a related field preferred but not required.
