Job summary

DCCM in Houston, TX seeks a motivated Survey Project Manager (RPLS) to lead a diverse portfolio of land and site development projects. You will provide technical expertise, project leadership, client engagement, and mentorship to survey staff to ensure high-quality survey services delivery.

You are an experienced Registered Professional Land Surveyor who can manage both field and office teams, build strong client relationships, and drive project success with effective communication and planning.

Qualifications

• Active Texas RPLS license and 7+ years of progressive surveying experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Experience leading field and office teams and managing projects.
• Strong knowledge of survey methods and client-focused service.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple survey projects with schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
• Prepare and review boundary, topographic, plats, ALTA/NSPS surveys, and metes & bounds.
• Conduct research, boundary analysis, field investigations, and project calculations.
• Coordinate with clients, engineers, developers, municipalities, and regulators.
• Manage, train, and mentor field and office personnel.
• Identify opportunities for additional services with existing clients.
• Assist in growing the Surveying department through client relationships and planning.

Our team is seeking a motivated, hands-onSurvey Project Manager (RPLS) in our Houston, Texas office. In this role, you will manage a diverse portfolio of land and site development and municipal projects, providing technical expertise, project leadership, client engagement, and mentorship to survey staff while ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality survey services.

• Manage multiple survey projects while maintaining schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
• Prepare and review boundary surveys, topographic surveys, plats, ALTA/NSPS surveys, and metes and bounds descriptions.
• Conduct research, boundary analysis, field investigation, and project calculations.
• Coordinate with clients, engineers, developers, municipalities, and regulatory agencies.?
• Manage, train, and mentor field and office personnel.
• Identify opportunities for additional services with existing clients and support business development efforts.
• Assist in growing the Surveying department through client relationship management and strategic planning.

You possess strong project management skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to mentoring and developing staff.

What you bring:

• Active Texas Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS)?license.
• Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive surveying experience, including project management responsibilities.
• Demonstrated experience supporting land and site development projects and municipal projects.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, GeoPAK, Trimble Business Center/Infinity, and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with Leica Cyclone and/or GIS is a plus.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
