KPFF Consulting Engineers is seeking an experienced Survey Project Manager in Los Angeles to lead field teams and deliver boundary, topographic, ALTA, and other surveys for complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Organizes, manages and directs field survey crew in completing boundary, topographic, ALTA, right of way, construction staking, and subdivision projects.
• Calculates and analyzes field boundary data, assists field survey crews on complex survey engagements, performs survey research.
• Preparation of various survey deliverables such as ALTA’s, Subdivision Maps, Legal Descriptions, Construction Staking Calculations, and Condominium Plans.
• Market new work, build relationships and participate or lead the proposal process.
• Manage the project schedule, including delegating tasks to staff (field and office), performing quality review, signing and stamping deliverables.
• Manage client expectations to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Ability to visit job sites to inspect existing conditions and give direction to field crews for completion of survey tasks.
• Ability to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time at a desk working on a computer and viewing a screen.
• Ability to utilize sound judgment, independent decision making, and prolonged focus.

KPFF Consulting Engineers provides structural and civil engineering services to architects, government agencies, developers, and contractors for projects with a wide range of functions. Established in 1960, KPFF has offices in Austin, Birmingham, Boise, Chicago, Des Moines, Eugene, Irvine, Lacey, Long Beach, Los Angeles, Louisville, Nashville, Newport Beach, New York City, Portland, Sacramento, Salt Lake City, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, Spokane, St. Louis, Tacoma, and Washington, DC..

KPFF's civil engineering staff accomplishes projects for site development, parks, and recreation facilities and the improvements to existing city streets, urban arterials, and highways. Scope of services may include site planning, environmental analysis, storm drainage studies, wetlands enhancement, permit coordination, and design of site grading, drainage, storm detention, utilities, access roads, parking facilities, and public street improvements.

In addition to typical site development engineering, our civil group serves as a prime consultant to government clients for management and design of transportation, waterfront, site improvements, and major utility projects.

Our engineers work in dynamic teams with open communication and strong support from senior-level mentors. These teams work directly with our clients on some of the most challenging projects in the region. Dynamic and friendly Survey and Civil Engineering office needs an experienced, licensed Survey Project Manager. Established in Los Angeles in 1968, KPFF Consulting Engineers supports the most exciting projects that define the region, and reshape numerous neighborhoods and communities, from the beaches on the Westside to the deserts in the East.

KPFF’s surveying team provides land surveying and mapping for projects of all sizes throughout Southern California. Our scope includes construction staking, ALTA land title surveys, boundary, topographic and aerial surveys, Condominium Plans, Vertical Airspace Maps, Parcel Maps, Tract Maps, legal descriptions and laser scanning services. Our team provides high quality surveying solutions to engineers, developers, architects, contractors, individuals, title companies, mortgage companies and public agencies.

Compensation: The base salary for this role is competitive and will be determined based on the candidate's experience, education, and skills. The expected Salary for this position is$100,000 - $160,000depending on education, experience, and licensure.Additionally, we offer performance-based bonuses to recognize and reward outstanding contributions in each Reporting Center.During the interview process, we'll provide detailed information and address any questions you may have about the overall compensation package and benefits.
