Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Survey Project Manager in the Atlanta area to lead complex survey projects.

You will oversee proposals, budgets, schedules, and client coordination, while implementing CAD/GIS workflows and modern field tools to ensure accuracy and efficiency. The role requires a Professional Land Surveyor license (Georgia or able to obtain within a year), 10+ years of survey management experience, GDOT knowledge, and proficiency with AutoCAD,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in surveying/engineering; professional licensure preferred
• Georgia PLS license required or able to obtain within a year
• GDOT experience mandatory; 10+ years managing survey projects
• SIT license and 107 Remote Pilot certification are pluses
• Advanced AutoCAD and Carlson skills; GIS and post-processing experience valuable
• Valid driver's license and insurability are required

Responsibilities

• Support Department Head in preparing proposals, estimates, and presentations
• Assist in recruitment and employee evaluations
• Utilize CAD, GPS, and GIS tools for survey workflows
• Handle survey data post-processing and field-to-office coordination
• Experience with RTK/controlled surveys and field equipment recommended
• Coordinate with staff and clients; manage budgets and schedules
• Ensure compliance with survey regulations and Accura procedures
• Lead pre-survey planning with project teams

Job Title

Survey Project Manager

Duties/Responsibilities

• Will assist the Department Head in preparing proposals, estimates, presentations, employee evaluations, and the recruiting process.
• SIT or LS required
• Proficiency in CAD, Least Squares Reduction and other Survey Software
• Experience with GIS platforms is desirable
• Experience with Robotic Total Stations, GPS (including post processing).
• Experience with scanners, drones, and other emerging technologies is desirable
• Should be registered in Georgia or the ability to become registered within a year as a Land Surveyor.
• A demonstrated record of success on ALTA, route/database, boundaries, topographical, inventories, and other types of surveys
• Coordinates with office staff and clients as required.
• Create and manage project budgets, schedules and resource allocation
• Must have project management experience
• Participate in pre-survey planning meetings with project managers, resident engineers, and contractor representatives.
• Adheres to local, state, and federal survey regulations as well as Accura Engineering procedures.

Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field from an accredited program or a scientific area and/or equivalent work experience preferred. Will accept two year degree plus experience.
• Must be Professional Land Surveyor in Georgia, other states licenses are desirable
• Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) experience required
• 10+ years of experience managing survey projects of varying sizes and complexity.
• 8+ years of experience in land surveying
• SIT license
• 107 Remote Pilot’s Certification a plus
• Advanced knowledge and experience with AutoCAD and Carlson
• LiDAR collection and software experience (TopoDOT and Pix4D) a plus
• Experienced with GDOT MicroStation/Open Roads Design (ORD) desirable
• Working knowledge of GDOT SUE process desirable
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable
