Job summary

Dewberry is seeking a Survey Project Manager to join our Gainesville, VA or Richmond, VA offices to lead land surveying and civil engineering projects. You will coordinate work, consult with clients, and guide the Gainesville/Richmond office in collaboration with leadership.

Ideal candidates hold a Virginia PLS (or obtain it within six months), LSIT, and a minimum of 10 years in surveying with project management. Proficiency with Trimble Business Center and AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Registered Professional Land Surveyor in Virginia or ability to obtain Virginia PLS within six months.
  • A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in all aspects of land surveying, including project management experience.
  • AAS or BS Degree in Surveying is preferred.
  • LSIT required.
  • A successful track record of building client relationships in the surveying and related mapping industry.
  • Effective team building skills.
  • Experience with transportation and utility infrastructure projects is strongly preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing.
  • Experienced in all aspects of Land Surveying (Land Development a plus).
  • Perform Boundary Surveys & ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys & As‑built plans.
  • Data reduction and processing of field files, topographic surveys, etc.
  • Knowledge of Trimble Business Center (GPS processing) and AutoCAD Civil 3D software a plus.
  • Have the ability to work out of town if required, flexible with work area.
  • Must have a clean driving record and be able to maintain a valid driver's license in order to operate company vehicle.
  • Must be able to pass drug/alcohol screening.

Salary Range

The projected range for this position is $92,000-$125,000 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
