Job summary

KCI Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Survey Party Chief to lead field crews on control, boundary and topographic surveys. This role requires 4–8 years of supervising survey teams and a hands-on approach to project execution.

You will operate robotic total stations and RTK GPS, interpret plans, produce field sketches, and mentor junior staff. A valid driver's license, willingness to travel, and reliable work ethic are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience in surveying.
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to pass pre-employment checks.
• Background and motor vehicle checks may be required.
• Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a survey field crew for control, boundary, and topographic surveys.
• Mentor and train assigned staff in the field.
• Operate robotic total stations, data collectors, levels, and RTK GPS.
• Perform survey calculations in the field with strong math skills.
• Read design plans and as-built/roadway drawings.
• Maintain legible field sketches and notes.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Be willing to travel for overnight and extended stay projects.
