Duties, Responsibilities & Other

• Supervise a 2-3 person field survey crew on job sites
• Maintain and verify field notes and sketches, ensuring data is downloaded into computers nightly
• Communicate with office staff, train subordinates, operate survey instruments (robotic total station, GPS, autolevel)
• Participate in safety meetings, identify hazards, and create corrective plans
• Work evenings/weekends and travel as needed
• Operate and maintain survey trucks and equipment safely
• Perform other duties as assigned

The ideal candidate will possess:

• 4+ years of survey field experience with various instruments
• Experience with Trimble data collection software is a plus
• Experience with DOT survey and SUE projects is a plus
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to follow instructions, mentor crews, and operate equipment
• Leadership skills and physical ability to lift 50 pounds and work in all weather conditions

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 4-8 years of experience
• Pre-employment drug screening and background checks may be required
