Job Title: Survey Party/Crew Chief
Job Description

We are seeking a Survey Party/Crew Chief to manage a survey crew in various field conditions and projects, with a primary focus on FDOT Projects. This role involves conducting boundary, topographic, ALTA, Laser Scanning, Geodetic Leveling, Subdivisions, and As-built projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage a survey crew in a variety of field conditions and projects, primarily FDOT Projects.
• Conduct boundary, topographic, ALTA, Laser Scanning, Geodetic Leveling, Subdivisions, and As-built surveys.
• Ensure accurate data collection using total stations, GPS equipment, and digital/automatic levels.
• Operate FDOT EFB, GPS, and various instruments effectively.
• Lead and manage a team with a positive and team-oriented approach.
• Travel for out-of-town projects, typically during the week for 2-4 nights, once or twice a month.

Essential Skills

• Experience as a Survey Party Chief.
• Proficiency in FDOT projects.
• Expertise with total stations, data collection devices, GPS equipment, and digital/automatic levels.
• Strong leadership and management skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with operation of FDOT EFB, GPS, and other instruments is advantageous.
• Willingness to travel for work-related projects.
• Motivation to learn and advance within the company.

This is a fully on-site position in Florida, working outdoors in a crew of 2-3 individuals. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr.
