Job summary

The Lane Construction Corporation in Orlando, FL is seeking a Survey Party Chief to lead field survey activities for a major highway project. This role ensures equipment readiness, supervises crews, and maintains smooth interaction among Client, Field Office, and Field Crews to support layout needs.

You will plan daily activities, oversee surveys, review drawings, and ensure data accuracy while upholding Lane values and project timelines.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years supervisory position.
• Terra model and TBC experience.
• GPS and Robotic Trimble system preferred.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan daily activities to meet productivity goals.
• Plan and execution of surveys.
• Watch over the operation field projects, including logistics and admin aspects, in cooperation with the Project manager.
• Ensure that the project progresses according to contract.
• Coordinate Survey needs between Projects and Field Crews.
• Review Contract Drawings/In House drawings prior to distribution to Field Crews.
• Check/Track field data for accuracy and completeness.
• Carry out job duties while maintaining Lane values.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Survey Party Chief adheres to company policies and ensures that employees follow procedures and is responsible for making sure all of the equipment is ready for an upcoming field task. Makes sure that there is a smooth interaction between the Client, Field Office, and Field Crews with regard to the projects Layout needs.

This position will support a large highway construction project in Orlando, FL.

Responsibilities including but not limited to:

• Plan daily activities to meet productivity goals
• Plan and execution of surveys
• Watch over the operation field projects, which includes logistic and administrative aspects, in cooperation with the Project manager
• Ensure that the project progresses according to contract
• Coordinate Survey needs between Projects and Field Crews
