Job summary

The Lane Construction Corporation is seeking a Survey Party Chief to lead field survey activities for a large highway project in Orlando, FL. You will ensure coordination between the Client, Field Office, and Field Crews to meet layout requirements and project timelines.

Responsibilities include planning daily surveys, reviewing drawings, maintaining data accuracy, and guiding crews while upholding Lane values on-site.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in a supervisory role on field surveys.
• Experience with TerraModel and TBC preferred.
• GPS/Robotic Trimble systems experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Coordinate with Project Manager and field crews for layout needs.
• Review contract drawings before distribution to Field Crews.
• Check/Track field data for accuracy and completeness.

Job description

The Survey Party Chief adheres to company policies and ensures that employees follow procedures and is responsible for making sure all of the equipment is ready for an upcoming field task. Makes sure that there is a smooth interaction between the Client, Field Office, and Field Crews with regard to the projects Layout needs.

This position will support a large highway construction project in Orlando, FL.

Responsibilities including but not limited to:

• Plan daily activities to meet productivity goals
• Plan and execution of surveys
• Watch over the operation field projects, which includes logistic and administrative aspects, in cooperation with the Project manager
• Ensure that the project progresses according to contract
• Coordinate Survey needs between Projects and Field Crews
• Review Contract Drawings/In House drawings prior to distribution to Field Crews
• Check/Track field data for accuracy and completeness
• Carry out job duties while maintaining Lane values
• And other duties as assigned
