The Lane Construction Corporation in Orlando, FL is seeking a Survey Party Chief to supervise field crews and manage survey operations on a major highway project. The role ensures equipment readiness and smooth interaction between the Client, Field Office, and field teams to meet layout needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of supervisory experience.
• TerraModel and TBC (Trimble) experience preferred.
• GPS/Robotic Trimble system experience preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple jobs and crews.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.

• Review contract drawings internal and external before distribution to field crews.
• Plan daily activities to meet productivity goals.
• Plan and execute surveys for field layouts.
• Coordinate survey needs between projects and field crews.

The Survey Party Chief adheres to company policies and ensures that employees follow procedures and is responsible for making sure all of the equipment is ready for an upcoming field task. Makes sure that there is a smooth interaction between the Client, Field Office, and Field Crews with regard to the projects Layout needs.

This position will support a large highway construction project in Orlando, FL.

Responsibilities including but not limited to:

• Review Contract Drawings/In House drawings prior to distribution to Field Crews

• Plan daily activities to meet productivity goals

• Plan and execution of surveys

• Watch over the operation field projects, which includes logistic and administrative aspects, in cooperation with the Project manager

• Ensure that the project progresses according to contract

• Coordinate Survey needs between Projects and Field Crews

• Check/Track field data for accuracy and completeness

• Carry out job duties while maintaining Lane values

• And other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• 2-3 Years supervisory position
• Terra model and TBC experience
• GPS and Robotic Trimble system preferred
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple jobs/crews
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
