Job summary

W3Global is seeking a Survey Party Chief to lead field layout and surveying on complex construction projects. You will perform staking, layout, and maintain accurate records on site.

You will coordinate with the office to update AutoCAD files, supervise 1–2 staff, and ensure safety and field policies are followed. The role requires a valid driver's license and the ability to pass a 10-year background check.

The Company is seeking a Survey Party Chief to become an integral part of our team!

About the Role:

In this position, you will be responsible for managing jobsite layout and construction surveys on one or multiple complex construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform staking and layout for various items of work, including concrete pavement, base, subgrade, underground utilities.
• Check grade for various items of work and maintain as-built drawings on assigned projects.
• Coordinate with office staff to ensure all project changes are incorporated into applicable AutoCAD files and models.
• Verify control & set temporary control points when necessary.
• Attend jobsite meetings when necessary
• Manage 1-2 employees who will assist with layout & grade checks.
• Ensure field policies and procedures are being followed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in construction surveying is required.
• Previous experience with Topcon total station and Trimble Business Center is preferred
• Strong communication skills
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Strong leadership qualities & work ethic
• Valid driver's license
• Candidates must be able to pass a 10-year background check.
