Job summary

Actalent seeks a Survey Party Chief based in Glen Allen, VA. This fully onsite role requires leading Boundary, Topographic, Construction and ALTA/ACS surveys with travel across Virginia and neighboring states.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of land surveying experience (boundary, topo, ALTA, as-built, construction).
• Proficient with surveying equipment: Trimble, Total Station, Data Collectors, Leica, Magnetic Locators.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to perform survey calculations and maintain field records.

• Train survey crew in technical survey and safety methods, techniques, and procedures.
• Perform survey calculations before and after projects.
• Implement work-site safety and traffic control procedures.
• Assign work to and evaluate the performance of assigned staff.
• Maintain accurate manual and electronic records and sketches.

Job Title: Survey Party Chief Job Description As a Survey Party Chief, you will supervise and conduct various types of surveys including Boundary, Topographic, Construction, and ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys. You will ensure all surveys are performed professionally and efficiently, leveraging advanced survey equipment and technology.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze data from various sources to organize and develop required additional information for survey projects.
• Identify and report any issues encountered in the field to the office.
• Understand the scope of work before visiting the work site and debrief the Field Coordinator and Office Staff daily.

Essential Skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience conducting land surveys of roads, bridges, and building sites.
• Ability to travel during the work week.

Work Environment

This position requires heavy travel during the week, with weekends at home. You may be assigned to projects at other offices, requiring travel throughout Virginia and surrounding states. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $56160.00 - $66560.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
