Job description

DEA's Denver, CO office is seeking a Senior Survey Crew Chief

This position is for an experienced Crew Chief who can work autonomously and remotely, leading a field crew performing boundary, topography, ALTA, right of way, and construction surveys for public and private clients on large energy and transportation projects. The applicant must be able to work remotely and be willing to travel as needed.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Operation and maintenance of survey equipment such as survey trucks, UTVs, trailers, and instruments.
• Keeping accurate field notes and data collection.
• Performing field calculations and complex survey computations.
• Working with DEA staff and interfacing with landowners and clients.
• Leading and mentoring field survey crew members.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of field experience in boundary and construction surveying.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to travel out of town for up to a week.

Preferred Qualifications:

• L.S.I.T.
• Knowledge of Trimble Business Center software.
• Experience with static scanning.
