Responsibilities include:

• Assist with the administration and compliance of Safety and Quality Programs
• Operate and care for optical and electrical surveying instruments (e.g., UTS, GPS, Total Station)
• Communicate professionally with clients, contractors, and team members
• Transfer survey data to computer files and acquire data for field use
• Interpret design plans for construction, staking, and layout
• Ensure surveys comply with applicable laws and regulations
• Perform field calculations, note-keeping, and electronic data collection
• Determine precise locations and measurements using field survey methods
• Establish or re-establish survey control methods and procedures
• Maintain survey trucks and equipment
• Resolve procedural and operational issues
• Coordinate activities with project staff and subcontractors

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED, with equivalent of five years of surveying experience
• At least 1 year of experience as a Survey Party Chief
• Experience with AutoCAD, Trimble Business Center, and Trimble Access preferred
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, decision-making, and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
