Job summary

Job description

The Rotational Engineer is an entry-level position designed for students graduating in December 2026 or May 2027. Through structured rotations across Engineering, Survey, and Technology, Rotational Engineers will spend four months in each area, gaining broad exposure to ABS operations while building a strong technical and business foundation. Through increasingly challenging assignments and hands-on project work, participants will develop a comprehensive understanding of ABS policies, processes, and operations. Upon successful completion of the rotational program, participants will be placed in a permanent role as either Engineer I or Surveyor I.

What You Will Do

What You Will DoThis program provides the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across three core areas of ABS:EngineeringSurveyTechnologyCross-functional assignments and action-learning projects are designed to accelerate technical development, broaden business acumen, and build the skills needed for future leadership opportunities. Participants will receive ongoing coaching and performance feedback throughout the program, including formal evaluations at the midpoint and conclusion of each rotation. All rotations will take place within the United States.

What You Will Need
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Materials Science, Ocean Engineering or Naval Architecture.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75.
  • Demonstrated leadership potential and strong communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Adaptability, initiative, and a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Internship or co-op experience preferred.
  • Authorization to work in the United States or permanent resident status.
  • Willingness and ability to relocate to Spring, Texas (Greater Houston area) by July 2027.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • Knowledge of engineering principles and related technical disciplines.
  • Basic proficiency in engineering tools and software such as Python and AutoCAD.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify issues, evaluate alternatives, and recommend solutions.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to collaborate successfully in a team environment.
  • Less than one year of professional industry experience.
  • Ability to learn and apply ABS Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental Management System requirements.

Reporting Relationships: The incumbent (Aspire) will report to a senior-level engineer or technical manager. This position has no direct reports.
