Job summary

Egan, Field & Nowak, Inc. (EFN) is seeking a Survey Office Technician – Land Surveying for a full-time hybrid role based in Omaha, NE, with some work-from-home opportunities.

You will support field survey crews and office staff by processing data, preparing maps and plats, and maintaining project documentation, including drafting, data entry, and coordinating with internal teams on timelines. The ideal candidate has at least two years of related experience, strong communication skills, and

Qualifications

• Strong communication and customer service to interact with internal teams and stakeholders.
• Proficient typing and comfort with digital documents, databases, and survey records.
• Training support for colleagues on office processes, data entry standards, and basic software use.
• Troubleshooting survey data, documentation, or workflow issues.
• Basic understanding of land surveying concepts; willingness to learn; related experience beneficial.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Associate degree or relevant coursework in surveying or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Minimum of two years related experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• MVR check and drug screening are standard conditions of employment.

Responsibilities

• Proficiency with office productivity software; familiarity with CAD or GIS tools is a plus.
• Process field data and perform adjustments as needed.
• Produce drawings with Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Prepare survey calculations.
• Perform research related to boundaries, rights-of-way, utilities and project control.
