DRMP's Surveying & Mapping/Geospatial Division is HIRING and we're seeking entry-level Survey Field Technicians to join our Raleigh office.

Your Primary Responsibilities will include:
  • Load truck with necessary equipment and supplies needed throughout the day.
  • Transport and set up the instruments/equipment and prepare the job site for surveying.
  • Clear brush and trees away from survey lines.
  • Hold the prism pole steady for the surveyor to help determine elevations of different points.
  • Measure distances between points using tape or electronic equipment; assist with survey equipment.
  • Familiarity with or working knowledge of survey equipment.
  • Operate surveying equipment under supervisor oversight.
What you'll need:
  • High School diploma and/or specialized training from a vocational or technical school.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to travel; some overnight travel may be required.
  • Ability to carry and lift equipment as needed.
  • Ability to clear brush while establishing survey lines (machete use).
  • Knowledge of equipment setup for various types of work.
  • Proficiency in holding and using a prism pole, rods, and measuring devices.
  • Ability to lift project equipment.
