Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Surveyor Field Engineer in Cheyenne, WY. You will support the construction team, perform siteworks surveying, and liaise with Field Engineering to verify materials and locations based on drawings and specs.

You will contribute to safety and quality programs, maintain survey control networks, and deliver accurate field data and CAD outputs. Strong teamwork and problem-solving are essential for project success.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 2–5 years of relevant experience, or 6–9 years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Lead Surveyor with the oversight of the survey operations and provide technical direction to the direct-hire team.
• Perform the duties of the Project Lead Surveyor during absence and support safety, quality, and environmental programs.
• Accurate layout of construction work, record field data per specifications and methods; establish survey control networks.
• Provide survey data management and CAD drawings, including DTMs and volumes computations; verify subcontract survey control points.
• Coordinate with Field Engineering and Superintendents; support UAV, 3D scanning, and machine control initiatives.
