What you'll be challenged to do:
Our Atlanta office is seeking a FIELD SURVEY INSTRUMENT OPERATOR to join its survey team. If you have experience in Land Surveying or would like to enter the Land Surveying field, TranSystems offers you a challenging and rewarding opportunity as well as a smart solution to your career decision. The Survey person will work in a transportation oriented setting which will include highways, railroads, public and private sites. No experience is necessary - we will provide training for this role.

Work Environment
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts by roadway, major highway and rail traffic, working in timber and brush areas and outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold, and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
Frequently required to travel for extended periods of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk long distances, climb or balance, stoop or kneel and drive a motor vehicle. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to adjust focus of survey instrumentation and read maps, plans and legal descriptions.
