Survey Crew Member - Fort Worth, TX!

Halff has an immediate opening for a land Survey Crew Member in our Fort Worth, TX location. This an entry-level position requires working outdoors assisting a Land Survey crew. Survey experience is desirable but not required. The typical work week is Monday through Friday, starting at 6:30 AM. This position involves working overtime and traveling for up to two weeks at a time. • Guaranteed 40 hours per week - even in inclement weather.
• Halff provides all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Halff provides safety boot allowance once per year.

Survey Crew Member Responsibilities:

• Operate Robotic, conventional, and GPS survey equipment to measure topographic features and boundary evidence accurately and efficiently in support of land development, route, utility, and other land surveying projects.
• Assist the Party Chief in conducting land development, boundary, design, topographic, and ALTA surveys.
• Ensure accuracy and precision in all surveying activities.
• Follow instructions that may be written or delivered verbally.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
• Be dependable and responsible regarding punctuality and attendance.
• May be required to start work at 6:30 AM, Monday through Friday.
• Be available for overnight travel, which may be up to one week at a time.
• Work overtime and weekends as needed to meet project deadlines.
• Familiarity with handheld computers (tablets, iPads, etc.).

Survey Crew Member Requirements:

• Valid Texas Driver's License is required.
• Must have excellent attention to detail and strong ability to ensure accuracy and precision.
• At least 2 years of experience as an Instrument operator performing land development, boundary, design, topographic, and ALTA survey, is preferred, but not required.
• Experience with Trimble Access, GPS and Robotic and Conventional equipment preferred, but not required.
• Ability to complete physical labor for up to 12 hours per day outdoors in the elements.
• Good penmanship and the ability and willingness to follow written or verbal instructions.
