Survey Crew Member - Fort Worth, TX! Halff has a current opening for a Survey Crew Member in our Fort Worth, TX location. This entry-level position requires working outdoors assisting a Land Survey crew. Survey experience is desirable but not required. What you will do: Operate Robotic, conventional, and GPS survey equipment to measure topographic features and boundary evidence accurately and efficiently in support of land development, route, utility, and other land surveying projects. Assist the Party Chief in conducting land development, boundary, design, topographic, and ALTA surveys. Ensure accuracy and precision in all surveying activities. Follow instructions that may be written or delivered verbally. Lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time. Be dependable and responsible regarding punctuality and attendance. May be required to start work at 6:30am, Monday through Friday. Be available for overnight travel, which may be up to one week at a time. Work overtime and weekends as needed to meet project deadlines. Familiarity with handheld computers (tablets, iPads, etc.). What you will need: Valid Texas Driver's License is required. Must have excellent attention to detail and strong ability to ensure accuracy and precision. At least 2 years of experience as an Instrument operator performing land development, boundary, design, topographic, and ALTA survey, is preferred, but not required. Experience with Trimble Access, GPS and Robotic, Conventional equipment preferred but not required. Ability to complete physical labor for up to 12 hours per day outdoors in the elements. Good penmanship and the ability and willingness to follow written or verbal instructions. Survey Crew Member Benefits: Expected 40 hours per week. Halff provides accommodations for inclement weather.
