Job summary

Loureiro Engineering Associates is seeking a Survey Crew Chief to lead our Land Survey team in Plainville, CT. You will supervise field crews, ensure accurate data collection, and maintain field notes for boundary, topographic, ALTA, right-of-way, and construction surveys for public and private clients.

The role emphasizes mentorship, safety, and collaboration with project teams while utilizing GPS and robotic total stations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in boundary and construction surveying.
• At least 5 years of experience managing a survey field crew.
• Proficiency with GPS equipment, Robotic Total Stations, and Carlson/AutoCAD software.
• Knowledge of professional surveying practices, procedures, and applicable state and federal regulations affecting land surveying and boundaries.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a survey crew performing boundary, topographic, ALTA, right-of-way, and construction surveys
• Operate and maintain survey equipment, including GPS and robotic total stations
• Collect field data, perform calculations, and maintain accurate field notes and records
• Coordinate with project teams, clients, and other staff to support project objectives
• Direct, mentor, and develop crew members to support their growth within the surveying profession
• Research deeds, easements, right-of-way documents, record maps, plans, and other survey records
