Job description

Searching for a Survey Crew Chief to join our growing Yorkville, IL team!

In this role, you will be responsible for performing land surveying services for various industries. All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US and will not require future sponsorship.

All candidates must have demonstrated experience as a Land Surveyor.

Responsibilities
  • You will perform land survey work through the application of surveying principles and practices and use of modern survey equipment.
  • You will operate instrumentation, clear brush, drive stakes, hold chains or rods, record data, prepare sketches, and maintain equipment as needed.
  • You will also have the opportunity to utilize surveying software applications to gather, retrieve, and interpret important data, and perform basic survey computations.
  • Ultimately, this position provides a foundation for further professional development as a land surveyor.
  • Utilize cutting-edge technology such as laser scanning, robotics, GPS systems, and drone technology.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in surveying; or a high school graduate with a minimum of 5+ years of experience.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is mandatory.
  • Perform all work in a safe and responsible manner, in accordance with the Health and Safety Plan.
