Triad Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Survey Crew Chief to lead field operations on varied projects.

You will plan, organize, and direct the daily work of the survey crew under the Survey Practice Leader, ensuring safety, accuracy, and timely delivery while coordinating with support staff. The ideal candidate has 5 years of progressive surveying experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, coursework in mathematics and surveying, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work indoors and

• Additional courses in mathematics and surveying preferred

What You'll Do

Being part of the Triad team as a Survey Crew Chief and with direction from the Survey Practice Leader, you will be responsible for leading field aspects of a project by planning, organizing and directing the daily work of the survey crew. Exposure to a wide variety of diverse responsibilities may include but not be limited to:

• Ensure safety is always prioritized
• Collaborate with Survey Supervisor and/or practice leader in scheduling and coordinating field work
• Supervise work of survey crew, evaluate priorities and coordinate and organize the work efforts without direct supervision
• Verify field survey activities are performed in accordance with standard procedures, standards set by applicable state statutes, and the ACSM
• Maintain equipment by cleaning, completing preventative maintenance and performing calibrations
• Communicate effectively with professional staff regarding projects
• Participate in business development and customer service

Desired Qualifications

• 5 years of experience with progressing responsibility in working on a survey crew required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Additional courses in mathematics and surveying - Preferred
• Must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record
• Must be available to work in all types of indoor and outdoor environments

Salary: $22 - $30 per hour
