CORNERSTONE SURVEYING & ENGINEERING in the United States is seeking a Survey Crew Chief to lead a field crew, ensure accurate data collection, and maintain a safe, efficient work environment.

The ideal candidate will be proficient with AutoCAD Civil3D and MicroStation, experienced with Trimble equipment (total stations, data collectors, GPS) and scanners, and demonstrate strong leadership and client communication.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a survey crew.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D and MicroStation.
• Experience operating Trimble survey equipment including total stations, data collectors, GPS receivers, and scanners.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong understanding of survey principles, techniques, and safety protocols.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a survey crew, delegating tasks and ensuring project deadlines.
• Operate survey equipment such as Trimble total stations, data collectors, GPS receivers, and scanners.
• Use AutoCAD Civil3D and MicroStation to analyze and process data.
• Communicate with clients and project managers to meet requirements.
• Maintain and service survey equipment and vehicles.
• Maintain accurate records of survey data and project progress.
• Mentor and train crew members on survey techniques, equipment operation, and safety protocols.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Survey Crew Chief to join our team immediately. The ideal candidate will possess strong computer skills, experience operating data collectors and total stations, and working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil3d and MicroStation. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a survey crew, ensuring accurate and timely data collection, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a survey crew, delegating tasks, and ensuring adherence to project specifications and deadlines.
• Operate various survey equipment, including Trimble 'S' series robotic total stations, TSC5 and TSC7 data collectors, DiNi digital levels, Trimble R12i GPS receivers, Trimble X7 Scanner, DGI drone, and more.
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil3d and MicroStation software to analyze and process survey data.
• Communicate with clientsand project managersto ensure project requirements are met.
• Ensure the maintenance and proper functioning of survey equipment and vehicles.
• Maintain accurate records of survey data and project progress.
• Mentor and train crew members on survey techniques, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
