Job summary

gpac partnered firm is seeking a Survey Crew Chief in Kalamazoo, MI, to perform field and office work including construction staking, ALTA and boundary surveys, and topographic work. The role requires leading a crew and coordinating with clients, with minimal local travel.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of surveying experience, proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil3D, and familiarity with Total Station and GPS, enabling independent or small-team work on diverse projects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in land surveying.
• Experience with boundary, ALTA, topographic surveys as well as construction staking.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and Civil3D.

Responsibilities

I am partnered with a Civil Engineering and Land Surveying firm and they are looking to add a Survey Crew Chief to their growing team! Minimal local travel.

What You Will Be Doing

• Field and office work for construction staking, topographic, ALTA, boundary and plat/site condominiums
• Monitoring projects from start to finish, interacting with clients

What You Will Need

• 3+ years of experience in land surveying
• Experience with boundary, ALTA, topographic surveys as well as construction staking
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil3D
• Experience using Total Station and GPSAbility to work independently or as part of a 2-person crew
• Ability to lead a crew
• Well-developed understanding of surveying process, start to finish
