Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Land Survey Crew Chief for our Rochester, NY office. This field-oriented role will lead survey crews, perform control, topographic and boundary surveys, and support office staff as needed.

You will work with total stations, GNSS equipment, and data collectors, ensuring safety and data quality while delivering accurate results for our clients.

Responsibilities

• Understanding and executing the scope of work for each assignment.
• Providing direction and oversight of the instrument operator.
• Ensuring proper field techniques are used, and data quality checks are taking place.
• Ensuring proper safety measures are being followed.
• Providing debriefing to senior office staff after completion of assignments.
• Performing field reconnaissance of property & ROW evidence.
• Understanding the operation of total stations and GNSS equipment and their associated controllers and data collectors.

Your Opportunity

Stantec Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Land Survey Crew Chief for our Rochester, NY office. This position will report to the manager of Land Surveying and will primarily be a field role, performing control, topographic and boundary/ROW surveys, but there will be times when office support will be required.

Your Key Responsibilities
