Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. seeks a Survey Crew Chief to lead field operations, coordinate with office staff and clients, and ensure precise data collection using GPS, data collectors, and robotic total stations.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, 3+ years of surveying experience, a valid driver’s license, willingness to travel, and the ability to pass pre-employment screenings while following safety procedures on site.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of three years’ surveying experience.
• Experience with Transportation Database Surveys is desirable.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Responsibilities

• Using data collectors, robotic total stations, and GPS equipment for field data collection.
• Leads crews on day-to-day operations.
• Ensure crew has proper PPE and follows safety procedures.
• Coordinate with office staff and clients as required.
• Adhere to local, state, and federal survey regulations and company procedures.
• Monitor daily timesheets, reports, and vehicle inspections.

Based on experience and will be discussed with manager in interview

Duties/Responsibilities

• Utilizing data collectors, robotic total stations and GPS equipment.
• File transfers will be performed remotely on a daily basis.
• Leads crews on day to day operations.
• Ensures crew is properly equipped with personal protection equipment.
• Ensures crew follows company safety procedures.
• Coordinates with office staff and clients as required.
• Adheres to local, state, and federal survey regulations as well as Accura Engineering procedures.
• Monitors accurate completion of daily timesheets, reports, and vehicle inspections

Education/Experience

• High School Diploma/GED
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience conducting a variety of survey
• Experience with Transportation Database Surveys is desirable.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
• Must be willing and able to travel as required for the role.

Physical Requirements

• Physically mobile in and around construction sites and field assignments
• Ability to carry required instruments and equipment
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
