Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. seeks a Survey Technician to support Registered Professional Surveyors with CAD production, deed research, boundary analysis, and easement preparation.

You will compute survey points and process field data using Trimble Business Center and Civil 3D. Preferred candidates hold an Associate degree in Surveying or Engineering Technology and SIT certification, with strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Strong listening, writing and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of ALTA surveys, boundary analysis, topographic surveys, easement documents, legal descriptions, final plat preparation and construction staking.
• Ability to operate AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center for production activities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, support project coordination, and interact with other design services.
• Full use of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment that is in a growth mode.

Responsibilities

• Assist Registered Professional Surveyors with CAD production, deed research, boundary analysis, easement preparation, legal description, and computing survey points.
• Process raw field data through Trimble Business Center and Civil 3D.
• Perform QA/QC checks.
• Coordinate and work with field crews and other office staff.
• Ensure division, regional, and company values, policies and practices are consistently followed within the survey service.
• Lead by example – display solid judgment, good values, trust, honesty, openness, and professionalism.
