Job description

I’m working with a well-established engineering and land development firm in Wilmington, NC that is looking for a Survey CAD Technician / Drafter.

You’ll be joining a collaborative, hands-on engineering environment working across land surveying, civil engineering, land planning and landscape architecture. The firm works on a variety of residential, commercial and land development projects, giving you exposure to different types of work rather than being tied to one project type.

This is a fully office-based position in Wilmington, NC, with field work as required.

They are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, is willing to put the hours in when a project requires it, and wants to be part of a team where people take ownership rather than simply doing the minimum.

Key experience:

• Boundary & subdivision plats
• Topographic surveys + creating surfaces
• Carlson and/or Civil 3D
• Deed research
• Ability to work from raw field data is a plus

The person:

• Strong technically and takes ownership of their work
• Can follow direction but also work independently
• Comfortable being primarily office-based
• Willing to put the work in when projects require it
