Job summary

Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. is seeking a Survey CAD Technician for our Survey Department in Morris Plains, NJ. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of civil engineering or survey CAD drafting experience and will process and import field data into a CAD environment to develop survey plans and documents.

Work is project-based and schedule-driven, under the direction of a Project Surveyor. Proficiency with Civil3D or MicroStation is required or preferred; strong verbal communication and willingness

Qualifications

• 2+ years of civil engineering or survey CAD drafting experience.
• Experience with Civil3D or MicroStation is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite is favorable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Terrestrial LiDAR collection and initial processing.
• Prepare Existing Conditions Surveys using AutoDesk Civil3D and MicroStation software.
• Perform 3D modeling and data extraction for Civil Engineering and Surveying Applications.

Responsibilities

• Minimum of 2 Years of experience using Autodesk Civil3D, Bentley OpenRoads/OpenSite Designer, or equivalent software.
• High school or equivalent education required.
• 3D modeling software experience is favorable.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite programs is favorable.
• Experience with civil/site projects is favorable.

Requirements

• Read, write, and understand plans and directions given in the English language
• Basic computer skills with the ability to create and edit Microsoft Word and Excel documents, create Outlook emails and utilize SharePoint and Microsoft Teams to communicate with other team members
