Job summary

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; degree preferred.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Land Surveying or related field preferred, or commensurate relevant experience.
  • Professional Land Surveying registration preferred.
  • Five or more years of land surveying or related land development experience, including professional project management experience.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and project teams.
  • Familiarity with financial principles.

Responsibilities

  • Define scope of multiple complex projects and develop plans to accomplish land survey work; monitor progress and report status.
  • Review job cost sheets and prepare monthly billings; ensure budgets are kept.

Survey Assistant Project Manager – Etna, NH.

Bowman has an opportunity for a Survey Assistant Project Manager in Etna, NH.

Purpose

Apply administrative, technical and managerial techniques to assigned projects to ensure successful and timely completion within the allocated budget. Work with leadership, prepare and submit proposals and project estimates.

Responsibilities
  • Receive broad guidance from senior-level management relating to overall key objectives, critical issues, new concepts, policy matters, and general parameters for execution. Assist in managing people and processes to ensure effective execution. Review work produced by staff for quality assurance.
  • Assist manager in securing repeat business from existing clients and identifying new clients.
  • Coordinate with other internal departments to meet project requirements.
  • Participate in meetings with prospective clients, proposal preparations, and establishment of budgets and schedules.
  • Maintain close liaison with clients and work with Project Manager to resolve project questions including technical requirements, completion requirements and billing inquiries.
  • Work with the Project Manager to review project changes, pending or anticipated alterations to the contract, additional work requests, and all other factors which may significantly affect staffing requirements or the budget.
  • Supervise the work of survey project personnel as needed to ensure that it meets the highest professional standards.
  • Coordinate with other internal departments to meet project requirements.
  • Work with the Project Manager to define the scope of multiple, complex projects and develop plans to accomplish land survey projects; monitor progress toward deliverable schedules; and compile project status reports.
  • Review job cost sheets and prepare monthly billings. Ensure assigned projects stay within budget allocation.
  • May serve as primary project point of contact as needed to coordinate surveying and mapping services between Survey Party Chief and the client.
  • Assist in the collection of outstanding monies due from assigned clients.
  • Participate in marketing presentations and attend marketing meetings.
