Job summary

Angel of the Winds Casino Resort is seeking a Surveillance Technical Supervisor to oversee daily operations of the surveillance engineering team and partner with shift leaders and the director. You will ensure system reliability, protect recordings, and coordinate maintenance and upgrades.

The ideal candidate has experience with enterprise video surveillance, cabling, NVR systems, and Microsoft Windows environments, with strong communication and training skills for non-technical users.

Qualifications

  • Exceptional guest service skills required.
  • Experience maintaining enterprise video surveillance systems, including cameras, storage/recording, networking, troubleshooting and documentation.
  • Understanding of installation, configuration and troubleshooting processes for basic software, hardware, networking and accessory equipment.
  • Requires experience in low voltage cabling installation and termination.
  • Must have strong communication and training skills to convey technical information to non-technical users.

Responsibilities
  • Oversees the daily operations of the surveillance technical department, partnering with the other shift supervisors and the director regularly.
  • Responsible for keeping the surveillance system reliable, protecting recorded footage, and coordinating all work and maintenance.
  • Ensure that team members are trained in regard to updates or changes in regulatory requirements.
  • Monitors the health of VMS, Cameras and infrastructure, tracks issues and prioritizes repairs.
  • Manages projects and vendors, plan upgrades, coordinates installations with other departments.
  • Protects access and recordings, manage system access and follows established procedures.
  • Plans all maintenance of equipment, inventory and budgets.
  • Lead the technical team, set priorities, assign work, coach team, and establish procedures.
  • Install, terminate, and maintain data communications cabling including fiber optic, coaxial, twisted pair, etc.
  • Maintains inventory of all equipment and documentation of cabling infrastructure.
  • Performs hardware/software upgrades to new and existing equipment as needed.
  • Investigates appropriate areas of potential problems, investigates error messages and determines resolutions.
  • Trains staff in basic and advanced use of hardware/software and cabling
  • Maintains up-to-date expertise in BICSI and other cabling standards.
  • Provide computer and equipment troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Support basic Microsoft related technologies such as Productivity and Email software.
  • Completes projects/tasks and research as needed by Application Support Staff.
  • Communicate with users and staff to understand, identify, document, and resolve problems.
  • Maintains up-to-date expertise in company used hardware and software systems
  • Installs and Maintains Access control systems and components.
  • Ensures equipment is taken care of and in working conditions and reports any concerns to director.
  • Partners with surveillance observers and IT on a regular basis.
  • Creates and Maintains infrastructure documentation for access control system(s).
  • Installs and maintains analog and IP cameras and NVR systems.
  • Creates and Maintains infrastructure documentation for surveillance camera system(s).
  • Selects, hires, trains, evaluates, terminates, schedules and recommends salary increases for staff.
  • Creates, implements and assesses training programs.
  • Work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Exceptional guest service skills required.
  • Experience maintaining enterprise video surveillance systems, including cameras, storage/recording, networking, troubleshooting and documentation.
  • Experience and/or education that enables performance of all aspects of the position.
  • Understanding of installation, configuration and troubleshooting processes for basic software, hardware, networking and accessory equipment.
  • Requires experience in low voltage cabling installation and termination
  • Prefer a working understanding of the casino and individual department operations, goals and objectives relating to Computer & Communications Services.
  • Prefer knowledge of how to assemble and disassemble basic computer components
  • Requires knowledge of how to terminate Cat5e data cabling and twisted pair 110 and 66 block terminations
  • Prefer knowledge of coaxial installation and termination
  • Prefer knowledge of fiber optic installation and termination
  • Prefer entry level knowledge of Microsoft Windows workstation & server environment
  • Requires the ability to independently perform all of the duties of the position efficiently and effectively.
  • Must have strong communication and training skills and be able to communicate technical information to non-technical users.
  • Must have strong communication and documentation skills for documenting system, infrastructure, and components.
Certificates, Licenses, Regulations
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Class A/3 gaming license from the Stillaguamish Tribal Gaming Agency and Washington State.
Physical Demands and Work Environment

Constantly requires the ability to receive detailed information through oral and written communication. The position requires exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Requires repetitive movement daily with sedentary work, occasional bending and crouching. There are no adverse conditions, but employee is exposed to tobacco smoke on a regular basis. This is a 24-hour, 7 day a week work operation.
