Resorts World New York City is hiring a Surveillance Technician II to maintain, repair, install, and manage all VMS systems and equipment including IP cameras, alarms, CCTV switches, servers, and related networking gear. You will ensure documentation, scheduling, and compliance with NYSGC regulations.

The role requires a Networking Degree or CCNA/CCNP certifications and five+ years in a networking environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience with CCTV and Security Access Control hardware/software preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, repair, install and organize all VMS systems/equipment (IP cameras, monitors, alarms, CCTV switches, servers, DVRs, networking gear).
  • Document and update site maps, maintenance records, and surveillance layouts for NYSGC compliance.
  • Coordinate services, repairs, installations and preventative maintenance; train surveillance staff on equipment use.
  • Provide 24-hour emergency response to repair surveillance equipment.
  • Assist other departments with covert video/audio surveillance installations.

Job Responsibilities

TheSurveillanceTechnician II reports to theSurveillanceTechnical Manager and other department Managers with whom an open accurate and reliable line of communication is to be maintained. Responsible for the maintenance, repair, installation, organization and upkeep of all VMS systems/equipment to include but not limited to: (IP cameras, monitors, alarms, CCTV switches, digital encoders, servers, raids, network switches, DVRs, wiring, Security Access Controls programming and troubleshooting.

Job Requirements

Candidate must be certified in network administration (Networking Degree or CCNA/CCNPcertifications) and have five plus years ofexperience in a networking environment.Must be able to design andmaintain LANs, WANS, VLANs, QOS, DNS, DHCP, Firewalls core switching and routing,Previous experience inSurveillanceand Security Access Control hardware/software configurations preferred .

Responsible for keeping alldocumentation up todate relatingtosite maps, maintenance recordsandsurveillancelayouts. Ensuresurveillanceequipment meets Resort World standards andmeets or exceedsNew York State Gaming Commissions requirements. Document and maintain detailed record relating to all scheduling, coordinate services, repairs, installations, removal ofsurveillanceequipment and preventative maintenance. Provide24 houremergencyresponseto perform or facilitate emergency equipment repairs. Develop and conduct training ofSurveillancestaff on the use of technicalsurveillanceequipment. Provide technical assistance to other departments to install covert video and audiosurveillanceequipment. Catalog and inventory allsurveillancetechnical equipment. 20/20 vision/corrective lenses, ability to distinguish colors, shapes and difference in size. Willbe trained to be able to stand in and perform Observer duties when neededso as tomaintain the minimum staff requirements per theNYSGCRegulations.

Must have ability to communicate in English both orally and written.

Work/Educational Experience

  • Must be at least 18 years old, possess a high school or equivalent diploma andhave the ability toobtain the appropriate license pursuant to the New York State Lottery regulations.

  • Networking Degree or CCNA/CCNPcertifications

  • Five (5) years of experience in the installation, maintenance and repair of technicalsurveillanceequipment.

  • Knowledge of working with CCTV system to include cameras, monitors and recording devices.
