GardaWorld Security Services in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Surveillance Security Officer to monitor security systems, detect threats, and document incidents across multiple sites. You will help maintain high service standards and safeguard people and property.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent)
• Pass an extensive screening process
• Strong report writing skills
• Sharp visual activity and concentration
• Strong proficiency with technology
• Security, Military, Law Enforcement experience is a plus
• Must be at least 21 for driving positions and 18 for non-driving
• Must have a valid driver’s license for driving roles
• Must be able to work holidays
• Must be able to obtain/maintain Iowa Security License ( GardaWorld will assist)

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems to detect suspicious activity
• Document observed events with detailed reports
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats
• Conduct regular patrols to ensure premises safety
• Control access to secure areas and verify visitor identities
• Analyze security systems for vulnerabilities or malfunctions
• Collaborate with law enforcement in emergencies
• Ensure safety of people and property
