Job summary

GardaWorld Security Services is actively seeking a Global Command Center Operator in Hartford, CT. You will monitor security systems, document events, and respond to threats, ensuring safe access and rapid incident handling. The role requires Genetec proficiency and statewide responsibilities across sites.

Qualifications

• Experience in a command center, SOC, or GSOC environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems to detect suspicious activity using Genetec.
• Document events and incidents with detailed reports.
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats.
• Control access to secure areas and verify visitor identities.
• Analyze security systems for vulnerabilities or malfunctions.
• Collaborate with law enforcement in emergencies.
• Ensure safety of people and property.
• Dispatch and communicate via radios, phones, alarms, and badge readers.

As an Operator – Surveillance, you will be the person spotting threats before they escalat[ e] in a security operations centers .

  • Monday - Friday 2PM-10PM
  • Friday- Saturday 10PM-6AM & Sunday- Monday 2PM-10PM

Responsibilities Of a Global Command Center Operator

• Monitor security systems to detect any suspicious activity using Genetec
• Document observed events and incidents, writing detailed reports
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats
• Control access to secure areas and verify the identities of visitors
• Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions
• Collaborate with law enforcement in case of serious situations or emergencies
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property
• Dispatching and ability to effectively use and communicate with radios, phones, alarms, and badge readers.

Qualifications Of a Surveillance Security Guard

• Experience working in a command center, SOC, and/or GSOC environment
• Experience working with Access IT , Vanderbilt , Otis EMS
• CT Guard Card License required
• Interact with sites in multiple countries / multiple states
• Be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Strong report writing skills
• Strong proficiency with technology
