Job summary

AvonRisk’s Contego Investigative Services division seeks motivated individuals to join our surveillance/field investigation team in South Carolina. This role involves stationary and mobile surveillance for insurance claims and requires multitasking, independence, and initiative.

Applicants should have a PI license or be eligible, with 5+ years in a related field preferred, and must own a surveillance vehicle, video camera, covert camera, and a laptop with Windows, plus MS Office.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of experience in related investigative field preferred.
• Hold a current PI license or be eligible to obtain one after background check.
• Must be able to conduct fraud investigations including video surveillance, statements, skip tracing, and witness locates.
• Must be able to document investigations daily with reports and video.
• Willing to work odd hours including weekends and holidays.

Contego Investigative Services, a division of AvonRisk, is a leading nationwide provider of investigative services to the insurance industry, with operations across the United States. We are currently seeking motivated and driven individuals to join our team in surveillance/field investigation roles.

Our investigators will provide stationary and mobile surveillance in a variety of insurance based claims. This is a fast paced growing office that requires someone with the ability to multitask, work independently and take initiatives.

Immediate opportunities are open in South Carolina.

Requirements

• Conduct fraud investigations to include video surveillance, recorded statements, skip tracing, witness locates, and more
• Document all results of the investigation, to include full report and video documentation on a daily basis
• Work and travel unusual hours, including weekends and holidays, occasionally overnight

Knowledge and Skills

• Hold a current PI license and the ability to be licensed in other states or the ability to get licensed (pass a background check) is ideal
• 5+ years of experience in related investigative field preferred
• Possess a reliable surveillance vehicle, video camera, covert camera and laptop computer with windows operating system, Microsoft word, and reliable internet connection.
• Eye for detail and good observational skills
• Ability to be a creative and rapid thinker
• Computer literacy, including working knowledge of MS Office Product Suite, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe
• Military, law enforcement, insurance investigator experiences a plus
