Job summary

AvonRisk in the United States seeks motivated surveillance/field investigators for Oregon openings. You will perform stationary and mobile surveillance on insurance claims, multitask, and provide timely reports with video documentation to support case outcomes.

This fast-paced role rewards initiative and independent work within a collaborative team. Must hold a current PI license or be eligible to license in other states, with 5+ years in an investigative field preferred.

Qualifications

• Hold a current PI license and the ability to be licensed in other states (or pass a background check).
• 5+ years of experience in related investigative field preferred.
• Reliable surveillance vehicle, video camera, covert camera and laptop with Windows OS, MS Word, and reliable internet.
• Eye for detail and strong observational skills.
• Ability to be a creative and rapid thinker.
• Military, law enforcement, insurance investigator experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fraud investigations including video surveillance, recorded statements, skip tracing, witness locates, and more.
• Document all results with full reports and video documentation daily.
• Work and travel flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, occasionally overnight.

Contego Investigative Services, a division of AvonRisk, is a leading nationwide provider of investigative services to the insurance industry, with operations across the United States. We are currently seeking motivated and driven individuals to join our team in surveillance/field investigation roles.

Our investigators will provide stationary and mobile surveillance in a variety of insurance based claims. This is a fast paced growing office that requires someone with the ability to multitask, work independently and take initiatives.

Immediate opportunities are open in Oregon.

Requirements

• Conduct fraud investigations to include video surveillance, recorded statements, skip tracing, witness locates, and more
• Document all results of the investigation, to include full report and video documentation on a daily basis
• Work and travel unusual hours, including weekends and holidays, occasionally overnight

Knowledge and Skills

• Hold a current PI license and the ability to be licensed in other states or the ability to get licensed (pass a background check) is ideal
• 5+ years of experience in related investigative field preferred
• Possess a reliable surveillance vehicle, video camera, covert camera and laptop computer with windows operating system, Microsoft word, and reliable internet connection.
• Eye for detail and good observational skills
• Ability to be a creative and rapid thinker
• Computer literacy, including working knowledge of MS Office Product Suite, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe
• Military, law enforcement, insurance investigator experiences a plus
