Responsibilities and Requirements

Responsibilities include:

• Conduct video surveillance (fixed/mobile)
• Obtain videotaped documentation of subjects
• Conduct background/activity checks and courthouse research
• Write and record statements
• Conduct scene investigations
• Draft thorough and detailed investigative reports
• Upload evidence into case management system
• Maintain alertness during driving as a core function

Requirements:

• Licensed or eligible for licensing as a Private Investigator in New York and surrounding states
• Experience in conducting surveillance (fixed/mobile)
• Willingness to travel within a multi-state area
• Flexible working hours, including weekends
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle with insurance
• Possession or willingness to purchase covert camera, digital video camera, and laptop with Windows OS and Microsoft Word

Educational and experience qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice or related field
• Experience in surveillance, law enforcement, or private investigation
• Attention to detail, accountability, and self-motivation
