Job description

Under the direction of the Manager of Surveillance Technical, the Surveillance Infrastructure Technician is responsible for installing, deploying, maintaining, and optimizing surveillance systems ensuring system integrity and long-term reliability. The role supports a wide array of technologies, requiring participation in system design, planning, and the ability to interpret schematics, validate system components and performance. Ensures surveillance systems comply with department, Tribal, state, and federal requirements, thereby supporting uninterrupted gaming activity and mitigating operational shutdowns. This is for all properties owned and operated by the Tribe under the departmentu2019s purview including but not limited to, Yaamava Resort & Casino, Retail, Entrainment Venue, Amenities, Food & Beverage areas, numerous remote site locations and Reservation.

++ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES++

1.u00A0u00A0Installs, configures, monitors, maintain and troubleshoot surveillance system components, including but not limited to equipment racks, cabinets, cable management devices, cabling infrastructure, cameras, camera mounts, public view monitors, license plate readers, environmental monitoring devices, Wi-Fi wireless equipment, mobile camera units, solar panels and batteries, mobile network switches, and weapons detection systems. Completes detailed documentation of installations, configurations, and testing results is maintained to support compliance, auditing, and future scalability. u00A0

2.u00A0u00A0Prepares and deploys cabling infrastructure by installing, terminating, fusion splicing, testing, certifying, dressing and labeling multiple types of cabling such as fiber optic cables, category cable, multi-conductor, coaxial cables and power cables. Ensures constructing and maintaining organized cable management systems, installing conduits, mounting boxes, cable trays, cable racks, J-hooks, lacing bars, and D-rings to support and organized scalable infrastructure.

3.u00A0u00A0Processes work orders, documenting work performed and provides accurate daily and/or weekly status reporting. u00A0Provides feedback and/or solutions to projects, tasks and technical, physical installation, or mechanical challenges. Conducts routine and emergency maintenance on all surveillance department systems. Diagnoses and resolves outages, technical issues, quickly assessing situations to determine appropriate, effective responses, while maintaining sound judgment

4.u00A0u00A0Operates equipment such as man lifts, aerial boom lift/truck, utility vehicles, and enterprise vehicles. u00A0Uses tools including but not limited to, ladders, power tools, fusion splicers and various hand tools.

5.u00A0u00A0Collaborates with cross-functional teams such as IT, DPS, Facilities and vendors to ensure seamless integration across diverse environments. Work is performed in a variety of settings, including professional offices, active construction zones, and regulated gaming environments, with strict adherence to safety protocols and industry standards.

6.u00A0u00A0Maintains accurate inventory of all surveillance system components and tools.

7.u00A0u00A0Reviews and stays current on the Surveillance Department Manual (SDM), San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission Regulations, Casino policies and procedures, and applicable Federal, State, and Tribal regulations by completing required training, monitoring updates at least quarterly, and applying this knowledge to ensure compliance in YSMN operations.

8.u00A0u0008Responds to enterprise technical support requests on an on-call basis, ensuring availability and resolution of critical issues 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

++EDUCATIONAL, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS++
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Minimum one (1) year experience in one or more of the following areas: Experience in one or more of the following areas: Surveillance Technology, Information Technology (IT), Low Voltage Systems, Surveillance Systems Technical Support, IT Data Center Operations, Proficiency in server operating systems, Problem-solving, Access Control Systems, Audio/Visual, or any related technical field required. Vocational/Technical certification(s) in Low Voltage, Surveillance Technical, Information Technology (IT) infrastructure, physical security or related field is required.
++KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA)++
  • Must possess, or be able to attain, skills to operate equipment such as man lifts, aerial boom lifts/trucks, ladders, hand/power tools, and utility trucks is required.
  • Must hold or be able to obtain within 1 year from date of start in department and maintain, Certified Fiber Optic Installer (FOI) certification required.
  • Must hold or be able to obtain within 1 year from date of start in department and maintain, Genetec beginner and advanced certification required.
  • Must have the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
  • Proven commitment to working in a team environment with a capacity for self-direction, and a strong willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematic diagrams.
  • Must have the ability to read, write, and speak English for safety purposes.
  • Must be personable and professional, capable of using caution and discretion in communication.
++REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS AND REGISTRATIONS++
  • At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
  • A Physical Security Professional (PSP) Certificate is preferred.
  • Must hold or be able to obtain within 1 year from date of start in department and maintain, Certified Fiber Optic Installer (FOI) certification required.
  • Must hold or be able to obtain within 1 year from date of start in department and maintain, Genetec beginner and advanced certification required.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA (various), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), and/or Extreme Networks, Extreme Networks Associate (XNA), Extreme Certified Specialist (ECS), or Extreme Design Specialist (EDS) are highly preferred.
  • Vocational/Technical/Business certification in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field is preferred.
  • CompTIA or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • Authorized driver: Role requires operation or driving of Tribe-owned vehicles or driving personal vehicles. A valid driveru2019s license with an acceptable driving records as determined by the insurance carrier is required.
