Job summary

Kaizen Technologies seeks a Data Engineer focused on ETL, surveillance analytics, and marketing analytics in Pittsburgh. You will design data platform architectures, build end-to-end surveillance pipelines, and collaborate with Compliance and Product teams to deliver scalable, secure data solutions.

Responsibilities include leading onboarding of data sources, ensuring data quality, and supporting regulatory examinations while driving cloud-native modernization of the surveillance platform.

Qualifications

• ETL with Surveillance & Markets Engineering Analytics is required.
• Lead onboarding of surveillance use cases, data sources, and regulatory requirements.
• SME for market manipulation, insider trading, front running, spoofing, wash trading, and information barriers.
• Support model tuning, audits, regulatory examinations, and model validation.
• Design scalable pipelines and end-to-end architecture for surveillance data domains.
• Lead data source integration and optimize ETL/ELT for large-scale datasets.
• Drive cloud-native architecture and platform modernization for surveillance.
• Establish data governance controls, mappings, lineage, and traceability.
• Develop KPIs and dashboards; partner with analysts to improve alert quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead onboarding of surveillance data sources, venues, products, and data flows.
• Translate business and regulatory requirements into scalable data solutions.
• Serve as SME for market surveillance topics and regulatory knowledge.
• Support regulatory examinations, audits, and model validation.
• Design pipelines for order, execution, position, market, and employee data.
• Improve data quality, controls, traceability, and audit readiness.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, PMs, and cross-functional teams on roadmaps.
