USG Insurance Services is hiring a Surplus Lines Tax Analyst for our Tampa, FL office. The role supports surplus lines premium tax filings on a full-time basis (40 hours per week). Office-based with flexible options for remote or hybrid schedules.

The position emphasizes accuracy, compliance, and timely filings in a dynamic wholesale insurance environment. The candidate should be proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

• Timely and accurate completion of state regulatory surplus lines tax filings.

• Running reports and reconciling filings with internal platforms and state transaction reports.
• Assisting with audits by verifying transactions and related documentation.

Location: Full-Time In Office

Compensation: $21.00 - $22.00 / hour

The Role Itself

USG is a national wholesale/brokerage for hard to place commercial insurance coverages. We are seeking an individual to assist with surplus lines premium tax filings on a full-time basis (40 hours per week) in our Tampa, FL office location.

Responsibilities include

Entry-level surplus lines filings involvesupporting compliance teams withdata entry, report generation, research, and very basic tax filings.

• Timely and accurate completionof state regulatory surplus lines tax filings.
• Data entryand management of client-provided information into proprietary software and state-based filing systems (e.g., SLIP or OPTins).
• Conducting compliance and quality reviewson documents and state procedures.
• Running reportsand reconciling filings with internal platforms and state transaction reports.
• Assisting with auditsby verifying transactions and related documentation.
• Communicatingwith internal teams (underwriters, brokers) and state insurance departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure compliance.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
