Job summary

PetVet Care Centers' Olympia Pet Emergency is seeking a Surgical Veterinary Technician to join our team in Olympia, WA. This role supports hospital operations, assists in surgeries, and provides nursing care and client communication to ensure high-quality emergency veterinary services.

Eligible candidates have a WA license, 1+ year surgical experience, and a HS diploma. Four 10-hour shifts, comprehensive benefits, and a sign-on bonus up to $1,000 are offered.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older
• High school diploma or GED
• Licensed in WA; 1+ year veterinary experience in surgical department or high risk anesthesia cases

Responsibilities

• Assess animal condition and determine care needs; perform examinations and diagnostic procedures; assist during surgery and nursing care; manage medical records and patient flow; obtain and verify medications; maintain sterile environment and equipment; communicate with pet owners as directed; support with triage and discharge of patients
